I find it interesting how widespread American music and how influential the American culture is. It's especially notable when you travel to foreign countries, but it also makes me sad because it seems that most people know of American ways and entertainment, but Americans don't know anything about any other culture besides their own. All my cousins listen to American music and the music culture here is extremely influenced by American music. I think Taiwan and Asia are ahead of fashion as opposed to the United States, but American-like clothing stores here receive immense popularity. I kind of understand the appeal, but at the same time, I can't really understand it either. I kinda felt like an idiot singing, "I know you should be home with me," while my cousins were singing, "You should be fucking me." I'm trying to make as little noise as possible because my cousin is sleeping right next to me, but I keep on banging my foot against the headboard. Why is it that when you want to be as silent as possible, you always end up making the loudest noises ever? HELLO!! I know you all have been avidly waiting for my post, right? You better have been!! :D Blog from 9/9/08: I'm finally in TW right now!!! I'm on a public computer and I'm waiting for my cousin to come take me out to eat. I'm starving! I could eat a hippo right now. Make that 2 hippos! >:-O ARarararrrr I'm going to be boarding the plane to JFK airport in 4.5 hours! EEK! And from then on, I will be heading to Taiwan and Hong Kong. :) Do you remember my previous post about Park Hyo Shin? :) |
